Blue and Gold Fusilier fine art print
Blue and Gold Fusilier – Solomon Islands
The picture of the Blue and Gold Fusilier, Caesio teres, was taken September 28, 2009. We were in the Solomon Islands, Wickham Island Group, Maroro Island. The dive started at 2:00 PM and it was raining cats and dogs! During the morning dives, I was shooting macro and for the afternoon I really wanted to shoot wide angle. However, due to the rain, I compromised on a 60 MM lens and in hindsight, this was a good compromise. During earlier dives the blue and golds kept their distance. On this dive, a rather large school of several thousand engulfed me. I was able to fire off a few shots and this is one I really enjoy.
Authentic Giclée Print
Giclée (zhee-clay) prints are the highest form of art prints. Giclée has become the standard in the art industry and accepted for its outstanding quality by museums, galleries and artists. A Giclée Print is quite simply the closest replication of an original artwork that is currently possible. Independent testing established that Giclée reproductions made with acid-neutral fine art archival paper, canvas and pigmented-inks will last in excess of 100 years before any noticeable shift in color integrity occurs.[i] For these reasons, Giclée prints are more expensive than other of fine-art reproductions, costing ten to twenty times more. Truly museum-quality Fine Art!
Buyer Beware! Some misguided printers use the term “Giclée Print” to refer generically to ANY print that is created on an inkjet printer. Learn to identify the characteristics of an authentic Giclée Print to avoid purchasing inferior quality prints.
An ultra-high-resolution image of my photo is transferred to acid neutral canvas using acid neutral archival quality inks. I keep limited edition of 7 per for underwater image selected for Giclée reproduction. You will agree they are among the best available in the world offered in this media. Size is 24" X 16".
