The Azul Ocean had the opportunity to be part of Cedar Creek Galleries Ocean Awareness Evening June 26^th.  I cannot express my feelings toward the evening!  It was the most positive and energy filled event I’ve been part of in a very long time.  As an artist it was awesome to see 150 plus people come together to learn how they can help save the oceans.

The week of June 12^th I had the opportunity to attend the Stephen Frink Digital Masters Underwater Photography class in Key Largo Florida.  Steve is possibly the most published underwater photographer in the world and a member of Canon elite list of Explorer’s of Light.

The class consisted of 6 days of instruction.  We started each day with 2 dives, afternoon instruction and evening photo critique of our images captured earlier that day.

You may already know that I've been working with a group of forward thinkers to bring a documentary about sustainable fishing to Cedar Creek Gallery this Saturday night, June 26th.  I'm inviting you to join us for this fun, educational and motivating evening.

The Diving and Underwater Photography

Twenty-two dives with 20 hours and 45 minutes of bottom time in 6 days.  Now…that’s what I call a vacation!

I'm going to skip the areas of preparation, I'm assuming that you have read my earlier blog, I know this is a bad assumption.

I have 4 or 5 tips that I always follow.

The Azul Ocean in association with Cedar Creek Gallery is hosting the screening of the documentary The End of The Line.

The documentary examines over fishing of our oceans and is very impactful. The End of the Line is not against fishing. It is not against eating fish. It is about responsible attitudes toward our oceans.

The cost is $TBD/person and sustainable fish fry.  We will update with more information as the menu is competed.

Thanks for everyones support during the Durham Art Walk! It was a huge success and was only possible because of our friends and fans! THANKS!

Ask Before You Eat.  Purchase Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified seafood.

Use reference guides when purchasing seafood at markets and restaurants’.
